FNB CLOSES BUSINESS ACCOUNT WITHOUT NOTICE!
I have a business account at FNB for one of my businesses. The account was last used late September 2015. We have been getting e-mails and statements relating to the account. I wanted to deposit money into the account on 5 Nov 2015, only to find that the account was marked as Dormant. On 6 Nov, I went to FNB platinum square and was told to bring Fica documents for the business to be activated again. I was told I would then be able to pay the sum of R120 that was outstanding in service fees. My other complaint was how could fnb close my business account without as much as an sms or e-mail?

I went back to fnb on 10 nov 2015 to submit my fica documents, as advised. The consultant told me my business account had been closed on the 7th Nov 2015, a day after I was told to bring my fica docs. No remarks had been added to the account after my visit on the 6th. I was told to re-open my business account, that meant getting my business partner who is in Limpopo and also pay R1000, instead of the R120 I was expecting to pay. I was told that fnb doesn't put remarks on accounts when I mentioned Standard bank does it. In short, they can do nothing for me.
