FNB CLIENT DATA PROCESSES BROKEN NEGATIVELY IMPACTING CLIENTS
I have been a client of FNB for 26 years and am seriously considering moving. In dealing with FNB on other matters I noticed on a form provided to me that FNB has some critical informational about me on their system that is incorrect. Tax Residency, Source of Income and Nationality. I contacted FNB and was given instructions to update the details. What was worrying at this point was FNB was unable to provide me with why they populated these fields incorrectly, I never provided this information and they were unable to tell me when and which source was used to populate the incorrect information. I proceeded anyway and updated details as specified to me, a form was filled for nationality and source of income and online banking was used for Tax details.
After a few weeks I checked to see if the data was updated only to find that the data is still not updated. FNB having incorrect information, being unable to tell me why they have incorrect information and further being unable to update the information to what is correct has implications on me when it is critical information such as this. FNB is inefficient and it's processes for customer data updates don't actually work. It seems with numerous data stores and legacy systems that FNB is unable to manage client data well. Its so bizarre that FNB has my ID document available with the correct nationality but in their data store have entered incorrect data. Similarly with the tax information. This is both urgent and important and needs to be rectified.
