FNB Claim - No service from short-term team (5 Dec 2022)
On the 5th of December 2022 @ around 3h30pm I logged a claim (63846) for hail storm damage. The call was handed to assessment insurance company by the name of "Incident Assessment Management". I kept following up with FNB on when they will send insurance guys to come through and check my equipment's as we were approaching Christmas and I needed to make use of my staff. The insurance guys kept phoning and lying saying they are on the way from the week on 7 December the insurance guys eventually came through on the 19 December. They tested, my kettle, laptop, desktop, monitor, UPS. The monitor was working, they took along SFF desktop, laptop, UPS, and Kettle. So since 19 December, they left, and said they will go test. I followed up in Jan 2023 with the insurance company as I noticed that I am not getting feedback, then also phoned FNB for an update. FNB confirmed that their insurance company has has not updated them on the faults and that is the hold. I then contacted the insurance company to follow up on what was happening. FNB (Spoke to Tumelo Pilane) to also confirmed that only kettle, and UPS will be paid, and Desktop is software issue and they don't cover. I asked them if I take the desktop somewhere and find that the issue is not the software, I will fight this especially after waiting three months. I asked about the laptop as it was not being mentioned on the report. I was told that the laptop was not confirmed as being collected. I then contacted the Incident Assessment Management company to ask them about this. It was on 26 January 2023. On 27 January Incident Assessment Management company updated the report with the laptop included. I then sent several emails to FNB short-term insurance following up on this, and up to today, still no feedback from FNB. This is frustrating and unprofessional especially when you pay your monthly insurance and don't get help. I am still waiting feedback from FNB. I phoned FNB today hoping to get an update, I was put on hold by Portia who tried to help. I feel that I am doing the work for FNB. Tumelo is not following up, and I must now get involved in calling the assessor. Last update on the FNB system is 26 Jan, the day I spoke to Tumelo Pilane who never responds to my emails. @ Shaldon Harilal, please resolve this as this is very unprofessional coming from your team!
