FNB Cheque Card can't be authorised for Online Purchases (4 month rigmarole)

FNB, I like it all of it. It's innovative, even when I had a debit order of 99.90 for a few months they couldn't track or refurnish me with (and blamed me) it's all good.

See, my problem is the fact that I have been trying to get my cheque card to make online purchases. At the height of my annoyance, I was told I failed a credit cheque, I should go to a branch they will help me. Only to be told by the branch that I have to call the phone number I initially called.

The lady at the end of that call was quite helpful - she told me to log in using the app OR desktop browser & authorize it via their website. Solution, I thought, yes! I'll finally be able to purchase online. Little did I know that the option was not available, so I re-called the phone number, this time I was told that the app is the place to go, I have a good understanding of IIS systems & databases but I didn't want to fight a professional only to be disappointed once more that the option was not available.

No, I wasn't upset or angry, my credit card is only expiring in September & I can wait. I decided to email them via the desktop website, only to be told of Solution 1 & 2 that has not disappointed in failing. About 3 weeks ago, I then came here to look for other people that had a similar issue. I emailed that email address, the email address from the website - and nothing - not even a message receipt failed.

I am at my wits end now, I hope reading this is a fraction of the frustration I felt when running around trying to resolve this issue, I pray the people that answer these reviews can actually assist me. All I want to do is carry on making purchases & circulating my finances with the bank, a drop in the ocean, but a cog still.

Thank you for reading my FNB Card Biography Woe. Sizwe K
