FNB Cheque Account Dormant but Accumulating Monthly Fees

My FNB Premier Cheque account went dormant but it kept on accumulating Account Fees. After a few months I tried to transact and I wasn't able to and I was told that the account is no longer active but then why is it accumulating monthly fees? Now the account is almost sitting at 10K and I can't even settle those fees bit by bit as I am told I need to settle the whole amount at once.

This is ridiculous! If the account is dormant why is it accumulating monthly fees? I was told that this is a transaction account and that's why even if it's dormant it will still accumulate monthly. This makes no sense!!
