FNB CHARGING INTEREST ON AN ACCOUNT THAT WAS REQUESTED TO BE CLOSED on 05 NOVEMBER!!! !
From. 5 Nov 2020 i have been requesting FNB to close both my cheque and credit card account. It is now the 29th December 2020.i am back at the Woodmead branch and consultant Zanele tells me that the account is still not closed and instead is owing interest on the account!
I AM FUMING!!! At the time i requested the cheque to be closed i have credit balance of R300 odd. They kept the account open despite me requesting it be closed a and are STILL CHARGING ME INTEREST FOR WHAT FNB!!!!! I am now awaiting to talk to the branch manager Tebogo again, this is terrible bank.

29 Dec 2020, 15:22It turns out FNB INCOMPETENCY is harming my credit scoring and THEY DONT SEEM TO CARE.
They acknowledge i paid off the account im November but they ddnt close even after i sent them an email. WHAT'S WORSE THEY CHARGED ME FURTHER INTEREST IN ORDER TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT.
I left the branch and THE ACCOUNT IS STILL NOT CLOSED even after RL states they closed the account which this months interest which shouldn't have been charged was the reason the account to be closed!!! I paid the interest anyway evn though i shouldnt have in order to get this resolved.
LO AND BEHOLD, hours later at the branch, the RL department claimed to close and they had not.
FNB SHOULD BE TAKING TO OMBUDSMAN FOR MESSING WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES!
Today at Woodmead i dealt with :
1.Zanele-consultant
2.Tebogo - branch manager (the only person who seemed keen to assist and failed dismally). She called the below to assist
*Ernest - he ddnt seem to care because even Zanele called and he walked away.
*Andreas Stockler-assisted Tebogo at the branch to try close but even
he couldn't.
* Sibongile-Revolving Loan Closure assistance (apparently closed but still... Nothing)
If FNB is able to charge me interest in December for an account paid in November.. ISNT THAT *******??
YOU BETTER CLOSE ALL MY ACCOUNTS. THEY ARE ALL PAID UP! I have emailed you POP! DONT UPDATE MY CREDIT, FLIPPIN CLOSE AND TELL ITC THE TRUTH THAT YOUR INCOMPETENCY IS AFFECTING MY SCORE!!
