FNB CHARGING FEES FOR ZERO BALANCE CREDIT CARD
I have been a client of FNB New Park Branch for 25 years and seriously considering changing banks. I have a Premier Credit Card with a zero balance and since 8 December 2023 I am being charged a credit facility fee of R17 and Credit Card Account Fee of R82 and my account was debited again with these amounts 8 January 2024. I have never paid these fees before, never received any notification thereof and they just suddenly started to debit my account. This is ******ion as there is a Nil balance on the account. Why must I be penalised and pay fees for a zero balance? I queried this with my personal banker and she still has not reverted back to me. I expect these fees to be reversed and the credit card account to be closed. I last transacted on this account in October 2023 and never paid such fees until December 2023 without any consultation from the Bank. FNB should reconsider their slogan "How can we help you"! as they are helping themselves to my money when NO services have been rendered. This is ******ion. I do not even have a credit card anymore. Why must I pay fees when I have a zero balance on the account?
