FNB charges insurance on settled personal loan

<p>So settling a personal loan with FNB is a nightmare. The refundable amounts are not systems generated but rather handled by *********** individuals who can't even give simple logic to their own calculations. </p> <p>After I quiried an overdue refund of R2651 with FNB personal loans, I received a refund of R2417.40 frm them. Upon calculating, I discovered that they witheld R234 which is R177 credit insurance and R57 monthly service fees.</p> <p>Why would I service and pay insurance for a settled loan. Both transactions are not reflected on my statement and I was advised they are posted to a suspence account. </p> <p>I received my loan statement yesterday and it reflects a totally contradicting amount. Turns out I had a further R305 due to me on interest calculated. The balance on my systems generated statement -R2956.40, why was I only refunded R2417.40? </p>
