FNB change E-Bucks rewards to E-Distraught

I strongly believe that the E-Bucks program of FNB, formerly a rewards program, have become immoral and in poor taste. While it may makes good business sense for FNB to stimulate revenue from interest earned from its lending, it is wrong to promote and give incentives for living in debt potentially leading people into financial distress, in a society burdened with debt and high cost of living. I am upset that loyal customers are no longer rewarded by what used to be loyalty programs, because they are not utilizing 40 % or more of their overdraft facility or maxing their credit card facilities. A financial institution that in this manner tempt and guide people towards financial drowning, should be held accountable. It is a sneaky approach and undermines the intentions of the National Credit Act. I strongly recommend that the E-Bucks rewards program be put under the magnifying glass as to not discriminate against those who do not utilise credit facilities.
