FNB Cash Passport Card

Good Morning FNB. On Friday, the 11 October 2024 I was at the FNB Brooklyn Mall and app**** for a Cash Passport Card. I was then sent an email by forex for me to send through copy of my passport and my Air Ticket which I did and it was confirmed that they had received my documents. On Wednesday, the 16 October 2024 I went to the FNB branch Brooklyn Mall to collect my cash passport card, again I went to the branch with my original passport and flight ticket. I was assited by a male African sales consultant who seemed unsure of what he was doing. That is not a problem at all, he then called someone who was giving him some guidance telephonically. I managed to speak to her aswell. It was a female African who I was speaking to telephonically. I had informed both consultants that it was my first time applying for thr cash passport card and that I didn't want to experience any challenges seen that I was traveling thr following day, Thursday, the 17 October 2024 To Mauritius. The lady asked me for security questions, at first I couldn't understand what she was talking about as it was my first time applying for that card...i got fraustrated because she was not making things easier for me. She then told me I was been disrespectful. I told her when I app**** for the card I was never asked for any security questions so she had me lost. She then later explained to me she was asking me questions, those questions should have answers incase something happens to my card I should not forget those answers, I then gave them to her. I left the branch with nothing properly explained to me but I asked the guy if my card will work and he reassured thst my card will work and not give me any problems. When I landed in Mauritius, on Friday my card was not working, it was not swiping nor withdrawing any money. Does FNB understand my frustration? I had traveled alone to a foreign country with no one to assist me with food. I had more than enough money in my card but someone did NOT do their job. Someone did NOT activate my card. I ended up missing lunch, I was tired and hungry, missed my activities because the card was not swiping and when they drove me to the nearest ATM the money was not coming out it kept saying invalid card. Here is a solo female traveler in a froegin country with more than enough money to sustain herself but the challenge now was that the card was not working.!!!!!! How inconvenient, da hell!!! I sent an email to the forex department and I was then told how much I had in my card and that my card was now active!!!!! How? Why was it not active when I tried to transact? When I immediately ran to reception at the resort my card finally worked but I was charhed 10% extra from the money I had withdrawn... Resorts are very expensive. This inconvenienced me. Surely iwrhdrwinf at the ATM would have been cheaper than ag tj resort. I once traveled to Zanzibar and my capitec card NEVER gave me any problems but a big bank like FNB who has been in the business for years disappoints me. It disappoints me in a foreign country... Stranded with no money and food to eat for a couple of hours!!!!!!!!!!
