FNB card. No free flight insurance anymore

For many years I have booked overseas air flights though my FNB card because of the free cancellation and luggage insurance. The last instance being in August 2022.

When my son planned his trip for December I advised him to charge to FNB card for this very reason. To say we were shocked to be advised that it now costs R640 would be an understatement.

After three weeks of querying this change of policy, I finally received a reply today stating that as it is part of their terms and conditions they can withdraw value added services at any time.

As this has been a value add for many decades it is clear that FNB no longer have the interests of their customers at heart. I for one will never use FNB card t9 book overseas trips, and I suggest other do the same.
