FNB Card Cancellation WITHOUT authorization

Yesterday at 28/04/2020 at 14:31 I received an SMS stating that my Debit Card was cancelled. Tried to phone the FNB support number at ***, it goes through some or other voice activated system and once you stated your problem it tells you to use the "Secure Chat" on your FNB app. Eventually at 20:39 one of the so-called bankers, Phumla rep**** to my query. Tell me that the card was cancelled "due to abuse". I lshould contact the ***** department. I did this last night and was told ny the agent that the card was cancelled by an FNB portfolio manager named Thabang. The guy at the ***** desk gave me a number to contact ***, NO ANSWER. My questions, WHAT ABUSE?????? We are currently in COVID-19 Lockdown, I use my card once a week to buy food. I have been a customer since 2008 and have NEVER been treated this way.

Why was my card cancelled without my authorization? Simply telling me to order a new card that will take 4-5 days to be delivered is NOT GOOD enough.

Trying to get hold o someone at the call centre is useless. Going to the branch at the moment is useless due to the queues to get in as well as the increased risk of infection. If this is how FNB treats their customers their motto should be changed to "How Can We ***** You."
