FNB Car insurance.

FNB car insurance is horrible. We recently lost our car that they refused to fix saying it was negligence while my husband nearly lost his life in the 2025 December floods. My husband was driving from work late afternoon in the rain. He was driving as other cars were passing however he did not realise the water stagnant. He attempted to pass but the car stopped due to loads of water. Water started entering the car while he was inside. The water got up to his waist, he picked his belongings and called the insurance to assist. Luckily the car had a sunroof and he opened it on time to stand there until the insurance people arrived and assisted him out. They took the car and that was the beginning of our problems. They refused to fix the car saying it was pure negligence from my husband’s side. We fail to understand how it was negligence when he was driving at late afternoon in the rain, how would he have known that the water was stagnant there. They failed to assist in our most time of need. We are currently still sitting without a car because of FNB.
