FNB CAMPAIGN REDUCING CREDIT CARD LIMITS

I received an email from FNB credit card division that they have reduced my Credit card limit with 47%. When I made enquiries I was informed that it was a campaign where they are helping clients having difficulty paying their monthly credit commitments. When I assured them that I have no difficulty with that I was informed that I was re evaluated and was therefore downgraded. Again I stated that my financial situation is better than it was when the initial limit was granted. When I requested to see the evaluation that was done to see on what basis it was done, I was told that that is not possible! But then the operator mentioned something about money available on my cheque account to make payment to my credit account. I now suspect that this might be the reason for this downgrading - for FNB to get hold of funds on my cheque account, My husband died in Sept, and some of the money due to be paid into the Estate Late Bank Account is currently in my bank account while we wait for the Letter of Executorship. FNB came to me to convince me to close all my Absa accounts and switch all to FNB (among them two credit cards) now that I have done that this is the way they treat their clients?
