FNB BUSINESS TAKING FAR TOO LONG!!!
I completed an application for business registration in May 2019 but I'm still waiting for my business account to be activated. I initially submitted proof of residence within the required window of 3 months. After not receiving a response I sent an email. Then after not receiving a response again for almost a month I called FNB Business and spoke to Thoko. She acknowledged receipt of the documents and submitted them to the right dept. Thereafter we were in contact again where she explained to me that one of the documents actually needed the details of the owner of the premises since I pay rent. I submitted the requested document with the landlady's details and signature and Thoko confirmed that it met the requirements, only to receive an email response telling me the proof of address is out of date. I wish to have this matter resolved immediately as I have limited time and resources to be constantly contacting FNB when they have everything they've requested of me. It is also a challenge to get another municipality bill since the SA post doesn't deliver them monthly to my landlady, as they should. The last one she received was the one I sent to FNB dated in March 2019. Fortunately I submitted it in May initially, within the required window, as I mentioned before. However, I am yet to receive a response to my last email sent on 7 July 2019 in which I explain this.
This is my last complaint on this forum. My business is being severely affected by the fact that 2 months after registering my business I still Don't have a business account because of the lack of service from FNB. Therefore it is only fair that I take my complaint elsewhere.
I await your urgent reply for the rest of the day. Then I will be writing to the Ombudsman for Banking Services.
