FNB BUILDING INSURANCE - NO SENSE OF URGENCY!

My geyser burst last week Wednesday, 6 August. I then called FNB who I, unfortunately, have building insurance with. They gave me a reference number and advised the plumbers would be out that day to assess and they arrived and assessed and sent out the quote the following day.

I have now been without hot water since then, with no response to my emails from FNB or the CLC 3rd parties. When I tried to call and also used the secure chat, it just gets referred from one person to the next and nobody can seem to help me.

How does everyone else seem to have 24 hour turnaround time for a burst geyser, but not FNB. Couldn't be bothered.

All you get are automated responses which state that your query will be responded to 'soonest' but no word from anyone.

Regards, Christine

I thought everything was sorted out but it seems not.

I called FNB on Tuesday morning and was informed there was some confusion with the plumber and they would approve the quote and give the go ahead for the plumber to come and sort out my geyser on Tuesday.

I didn't hear anything from FNB or the plumbers thereafter.

Later in the day another plumber messaged me, apparently sent by CLC, to ask about my geyser.

I was not informed about this. I haven't been informed about anything since I logged the call last week Wednesday. I have had no hot water since then, no feedback from FNB or CLC after multiple emails, chats and calls.

And it seems FNB only responds if you post a complaint on hellopeter.
