FNB BRAAMFONTEIN WHAT A DISGRACE TO YOUR BRAND - "FNB HOW CAN WE RUIN YOUR DAY"

I would just like to share what a terribe experience I had this morning - courtesy of consultant Maanda N who decided that being patronising and completely disrespectful is the way to treat a client - I won't generalise his behaviour to all clients, maybe I was just the unlucky one. My morning started with a screaming match with this consultant, who kept addressing me as his sister, and I pointed out the obvious, that I am not his sister, neither am I his mum. FNB do you not train your employees on client etiquette? All this simply because I was asking for a solution to my moneygram problem after being misinformed by cresta branch as well as the call centre. I went to the braamfontein branch as it is closest to my workplace, and Maanda told me that I needed to bring my card which I had forgotten. I then went back and fetched my card, and that was when he then told me that the limit is 15k. I then asked him to clarify as the call centre for cellphone banking had advised me 20k, and the cresta branch had not mentioned the limit when they linked the recepient for me even after I told them I was sending 1320 GBP. This seemed to tick him off, im gobsmacked as to why, and he then insisted that before I left to fetch my card, he advised me that the limit is 15k, which is a lie and then he turned it around and said I should have told him how much I wanted to draw - needless to say that I did ask what all was needed and I was told i just needed my card and they would assist me. Then he proceeded to arroganlty inform me that well if I need help in this branch then i must settle for the 15k. I do not have a problem with that but i have a problem with the condescending mannerism and him arguing with me as if he knows me and trying to make me look stupid - if FNB is giving me conflicting stories then am I wrong to ask for clarification- and why cant he as a representative of the bank try to hear me out and advise me with the best solution instead of raising his voice at me and trying to put me down. At the end of it he refused to help me, and Oscar stepped in and I will rate him 5 stars for his assistance - something that Maanda could have also easily done. I am very annoyed and would actually like to close my account, I maybe 1 small account in a million but it takes nothing from a consultant to be professional and just do his job. Very disappointing and I will definitely not be going back to that branch for as long as my account stays open, and I will tell every single person I can of my experience with your branch and I sincerely hope that this consultant is not used to treating clients like idiots and getting away with it. Rather remove your how can we help you logo, or rather hire people that understand it
