FNB blocking accounts without notification

Yesterday I suddenly realise that I cannot transact on my online banking or trade anyshares.
I phoned the online-callcentre and the person informed me that my accounts has been locked because they do not have proof of residence, and that a message has been sent to me informing me of the fact that I need to submit the documents.

1st I do not trust messages requesting information from the bank as they can easily be phishing messages
2nd I did submit this documentation several years ago and do not see why I have to do this again
3rd the callcentre agent told me to send the documents to an email address which I did, I then phoned the number on the repley mail I recieved only to be transferred 5 times as every person I spoke to was not the person dealing with this, The last person I spoke to gave me a different number to phone which does not even exist.
Because of this I have had a payment returned through paypal, I was unable to pay a worker and also made a loss on some shares I tried to sell.
