FNB blocked my credit cards, debit card without informing me

My credit card and cheque card were blocked by FNB without giving me a notice. The cards are blocked such that I cannot use them outside South Africa. This is a joint account between me and my wife. I travel a lot outside of RSA and as I write I am in Eswatini. I cannot make payments using the cards. My wife wrote to FNB, ********** on 6th of June. The response from email promised to resolve or at least to give feedback in 2 days. Up to now there is no feedback and I am still outside with no access to my credit card and cheque card. She also called the FNB number to make a follow up and inform FNB that I was already out of the country expecting to use the cards. She was told to wait for an email from FNB. Now since the 6th we do not have any feedback. My concern is FNB blocked the cards without informing me and FNB is taking its time to resolve the issue while I am out of the country with no access to my money. This to me is a sign of arrogance, where the bank does not care about what I will go through in a foreign land without access to my money. This morning (11 June) my wife called again and she was told to hold on the phone for more than 10 minutes until she gave up. Is there a reason why FNB wants to punish me as a customer?
