FNB Blocked My Business Account Without Evidence — No Response for Weeks

Investigators are never available, no information is given and nobody knows what is going on. When you try to escalate the matter they won't give you the team leaders email

FNB Blocked My Business Account Without Evidence — No Response for Weeks
Review:
On 2 July 2025, my FNB Business Account was blocked without warning, after I transferred funds from my ABSA account (which had been frozen due to a false ***** allegation made by a client who hadn’t even completed her payment for an order).
Since then, I have not received a single email, call, or update from the investigator assigned to my case — despite multiple calls, emails, and even requests to escalate to her manager. Every time I contact FNB, I’m told that only the investigator can help and that I must continue to wait.
It has now been over 3 weeks and I have had no access to any of my business funds, causing severe financial and operational strain. What's most concerning is that:
  • The person who reported the ***** was never asked to submit any proof.
  • I have provided all evidence to ABSA showing the client didn't pay in full and the transaction was not *****ulent.
  • FNB flagged and froze my account simply because funds were transferred from an ABSA account that was already under review — without even contacting me or asking for my side.
To make matters worse, I discovered a recent article about seafood businesses being ****med with **** payment confirmations — the exact reason why I didn’t ship the order in question: I was waiting for full payment, per my written terms. Yet I’m the one being punished, while the real ****mer is protected by the system. This is beyond unfair — it’s reckless, damaging, and borders on negligence. I am demanding:
  • Immediate access to my funds,
  • A full investigation with my side also being considered,
  • And accountability from FNB for their lack of communication and transparency.
If this is how FNB treats small businesses, I strongly urge others to think twice.
