FNB BENEFITNG FROM COVID ****
It would seem FNB is taking its chances on this Covid-19 Crisis across the board ,a few weeks ago they were running a campaign of a consolidated loan with exorbitant interest rate until a friend of mine complained and it has since been stopped , today my wife who banks with their prestige division "RMB" wanted to reverse debit orders of sectors she has already informed of how impacted by the pandemic she is and none that are contractually obligated , and guess what FNB said they don't reverse transactions anymore since the covid-19 .what does this mean in lame terms : That you must apply for some relief from the bank then you can owe them instead ,FNB protects merchants instead of customers ,That you need to be pressurised into financial decisions you are not ready for so that they can profit and also that you would rather owe them than cancel debit orders that you are not contractual obligated to honour ,so safe to say that with their “reverse debit orders online” that is a **** and false advertising on steroids . They misleading the general public ,needless to mention that as someone who has banked with Fnb for this long it shouldn't be hard to send an sms or an email if such conditions of services are amended but not in this case it wasn't done because the general public is too naive to notice a blatant disregard on their part of ones intelligence I will be reporting this to the competition commission and banking ombudsman ASAP ,in conclusion if you were thinking of moving to FNB now is not the time wait there we will tell you when the grass is as green as it looks on the other side ,If you are with FNB you may want to consider another bank that will put your interest first as the customer and if its anything to go by find a bank with the decency to notify you about any changes pertaining your money ,this is no favour you are paying for that
