FNB Banking App Too Invasive

Since when is it acceptable for a bank to spy on it's customers? I used the FNB Banking App, but recently they wanted to force me to update to a newer version. If it was for security reasons I would understand (if they are not lying - hard to know sometimes), but trying to force me to accept a new list of rights on my phone that the application needs, and then adding the camera, I am not impressed. What the $#@# do you want to use my camera for? And don't give me any ******* about it being for my benefit. What could you possibly want to use my camera for if it is not to spy on me? Removed the app and will not reinstall it. So much for making life more convenient. It simply becomes more invasive. They sell you convenience so they can invade your privacy.

Thank you for responding to my query and explaining what the permissions are for. I did not know that you can switch permissions off if you did not want to use the features. Will give that a try.
