FNB Bank Charges
I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my experience with FNB.
I have been retrenched in May 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic and immediately submitted the credit insurance claims. The claims were approved and paid monthly as per the policy. My problems started when FNB still attempted to submit the debit orders from my bank account even though the insurance paid the premium. There was no funds in my bank account as I did not earn any income so the debit orders bounced and FNB charged a fee for each and every failed attempt of the debit orders. I phoned FNB trying to temporarily stop the debit orders, I also went to one of the branches for assistance and they just refused. The negative balance on my bank account just got more and more each month and left me with thousands of rands of further debt.
I am not satisfied with FNB for not even trying to stop my debit orders as requested, it increased my stress and anxiety levels I already suffered from losing my job. I am still struggling to repay that negative balance of al those failed attempts on my debit orders. I would appreciate it if FNB could at least compensate for those losses I have suffered from the unwillingness to help me.
