FNB bad service!!!!!!

So FNB I want some assistance-

I called on the 20th of May 2024 to close my credit card account, I was told I needed to pay R1.00 to close the account ... I did! I was given a reference CAS***H9J4L5, the consultant even told me to enter the reference into my FNB app. He assured me my card would be closed in a few days etc..... I believed Him.

Friday the 31.05.2024, the card is still not closed and now I owe FNB money!!! what the hell guys????

Today 3.06.2024 - I Call the collections department and I'm told there's no notes on the account for the credit card to be closed????

I want my query resolved!!!!!!!
