FNB ATM at Hyde Park at R8050

I went to deposit R8050 at FNB Hyde Park this morning. The ATM machine canceled my transaction while it was counting and issued me a receipt saying it was unsuccessful.

I then filled out a form and asked to wait 7 days. I've yet to receive any refence number from FNB or a phone call.

I understand it's not the staff fault but I will go on to ask the following.

Why does the branch no longer allow a person to deposit cash with another human being?

I'm going to assume "cost cutting" fair enough.

Second, why do these machines not RETURN the cash that was deposited if the machine says the transaction was unsuccessful!?

I'm going to assume that either the enigeer faults or the software company that did the front end design for the system.

Regardless, I'm R8050 out of pocket on an order that I needed urgently.

Can some one please contact me ASAP to resolve this issue.
