FNB AT FAULT BUT CLIENT SUFFERING

Good day.

This will be my 4th complaint for FNB. I am so sick and tired of their service. I have been a loyal customer for the last 9 years ...to no avail.

I instructed FNB to cancel a debit order that wasn't supposed to be authorised in Sep....But to no avail. again.....!! the monies were deducted off my account in Sep and Oct. I went in and called the call centre to complain as they did not follow my instructions. The debit order was cancelled with the company Old Mutual finance but the bank didn't do their part she I asked them too.

I have app**** for a debt consolidation loan so I can clear my debt and pay one monthly instalment.

But NOW FNB have created a big mess, because the did not follow my instructions it has now affected my credit and they are unable to assist with my consolidation loan.

I don't see why I must suffer the consequences when FNB ******ed up. I think this is ridiculous.

I am currently sitting at absa bank getting assistance and I do not even bank with them.

How disappointing. Looks like ill be moving my business elsewhere and closing my accounts.

Dear jemalexis,
Thank you for your Review.
Unfortunately we are not able to help you with the debit order that has gone off your account. We are not party to the agreement between you and the entity originating the debit order and you must cancel the debit order authority directly with this entity.
We will, for a period of 12 months, endeavor to ensure that the debit order is not debited to your account. We can do so by placing a stop payment on the debit order which will attract a charge.
Please also note that should the amount, description or debt order code change, the debit will still go off your account.

Good day.
Thank you for your reply.
But please note this was cancelled with the company and I did in fact request a stop order to be done by FNB in September. ....so this obviously was not done as it went off again in October. I don't think that as the Client I should be at FAULT when clearly fnb didn't follow instructions. I did request for a stop order and they reversed the cash back in September and it was cancelled with the company. then Feb allowed it to go off again.
