FNB ASSISTING *****SATARS PERPETUATE *****
My exgirlfriend and a maintenance creditor died on 29 July 2023.
She was banking with FNB at the time of death, where the maintenance amounts were being paid by my employer.
The identity details of this person are as follows: Name;Busisiwe Jonannah Zwane ID No:***5****4 Bank Account Number:***
The bank account verification system shows that the bank account in question,is active but does not allow debits.
It is unclear,as to whether FNB left the account open and active becuase of funds left in the account or the former lady had a liability to pay with FNB.
My employer confirmed with records that there are no funds reversed to the public PERSAL.
Whilst that said, there is a brother of the former lady who claims is able to access the funds from the bank account in question in the name of executor of estates with no court documents presented.
What I know is that, once a person dies it is not possible to withdraw funds from a bank account of deceased person.
What I also know is that, once a person approach Court's Masters all the bank accounts of the affected person get blocked. All the deceased estates have to be paid in th new bank account(s).
The bank account in question was not opened in the deceased estates.
My suspision is that FNB does not know that the person is deceased in that: 1.The executor of estate in question, did not inform FNB that the person asscociated with the account is deceased.
2.The executor of estate in question does not access the funds through legal chanells or withdraw the funds *****ulently such as panking applications.
3.FNB verification system has weaknesses
4.FNB identity verification system does not perform live queries with the Home Affairs population register. And therefore would not pickup that the person associated with the bank account is deceased.
5. I have experience on this aspect,FNB kept my 2017 ID document when my new ID smart card was issued.
6.With this knowlwdge my surviving children can still have access the bank account as long as they have access to the device where my banking apps are installed in the same way the executor estates in question does.
As a bank that claims has reputation you need to stop this habit by closing the bank account in question,as a dead person cannot receive money except for the purposes of using FNB to perpetuate ***** and FNB accept to perpertuate these *****ulant activities.
Once you close this account, the funds will reverse back to the employer until such time the so called executor of estate if there is any appear with the valid court paper.
I only learn last month through the credit bureau that the former lady is deceased.
The so called executor of estate never mentioned to me this tragic event but yet money is paid and withdrawn from a bank account of deacesed person.
It is alos not known how the boy child accesses and benefit from these funds.
FNB cannot keep a bank account of dead person active for what ever reasons.
