FNB ARE *******
This is not my first complaint about FNB and im getting pretty tired of the terrible customer service.
I had a double debit come off my account the 26th November and the one was banked by the merchant, the other was stuck in my pending transactions. I was told to lodge a dispute and provide the dispute department with a form, I gave done this. After a long wait I received feedback via email from Catherine in the retail service recoveries department advising that my query has only been escalated to the relevant department. I responded to her saying that by now i should've received feedback regarding the status of my dispute. I received no response thereafter and only a decline sms requesting documents from the merchant.
I contacted the merchant and they confirmed they are in contact with the bank. Shortly after I spoke to the merchant my pending funds were released back into my account and i could finally access it (10th December). I have used majority of the funds by the time i received a sms from the bank stating that the pending payment went through to the merchant after they've already released the funds. My account is now in a negative because they paid me back and deducted the amount again. I do not have an overdraft so this would not have gone through any other way. And then I see FNB charged me a honoring fee of R150 as well which is very unfair because this money was given to me by the bank and taken back and now im held responsible for the negative amount???? I will not be held liable for this.
I als requested a transaction history from a banker Wendyness and I told her the last time i was charged R28 for a statement so I'm willing to pay that amount again and when i checked another R156 was deducted for a interim statement. She asked if I agreed with the charges but only the R28 was discussed. This is also ****************.
So now apart from the negative balance i now am liable for another R306??? I refuse and will change my banking details before my salary comes in so that you can look elsewhere for your money.
I need management to contact me and not people sending me to run around and waste more of my time. I already have a docket opened with the ombudsman and will continue with the process of my complaint if nobody gets back to me. Those funds will not be paid by me.
