FNB Are Dishonest And ***********

I contacted FNB regarding a Paypal withdrawal made last week. They claimed that the money will only clear into my FNB account on Wednesday or later due to a public holiday in America!

This is absolutely nonsense as I had already contacted Paypal and they assured me that USA public holidays don't impact on local withdrawals. Why would they? The Paypal amount immediately withdraws into the FNB account. It's then up to FNB to clear it. By the way, I didn't withdraw the money on the public holiday in question.

Everywhere else in the world, the Paypal withdrawals clear instantly into an account or within a day. Even though FNB takes their sweet time sorting out Paypal withdrawals, there is no reason that an American holiday should impact on a Paypal withdrawal into a SA account.

I am not convinced of their reason for the delay in clearing the money. They always have a different reason when it comes to delaying Paypal withdrawals.

The female clerk was condescending about it and couldn't even give me a time that the withdrawal would clear later in the week. This is shocking and unacceptable.

Furthermore, she wanted my entire ID number to verify my account, something that I'm convinced isn't necessary. If I am a victim of any crime due to this, I will seek legal account against FNB.
