FNB are ******* and the law allows them to continue
I'm degusted, I'm appalled at how these massive organizations can just legally **** us because they know no one will hold them liable. I have just been charged R360 for an "Excess item fee" which I assume they claim I did not have funds in my account when making a purchase (I have no debit orders in my acc so it can only be referring to a purchase). Firstly my acc will never authorise any swipes if I have insufficient funds - even if short with 1 cent, so I don't even try it. What they do is they process the transaction on a date that has less than the transaction fee and then charge you R360. How do you charge someone a fee of R360 for a R11 purchase? How does the law allow such ********ity?
Just the other day I sent a R50 ewallet to someone who has a cellphone contract so because FNB cannot gain a fee from dialing their ewallet number for the pin, my recipient could not get the cash. Then they charged me R75 to cancel the ewallet meaning I paid R125 for a service that was never delivered {this happened on 2 transactions). This has to be *******. But I'm just a small voice fighting a major cooperation. Just close my accounts. I'm better off signing up with Capitec or Tymebank to be honest.
