FNB app not working FNB actual solution is to reset phone. TOTALLY unacceptable!
I have the absolute absurd experience of my FNB app not starting because it says I have malicious software loaded. This happened within one day and I absolutely loaded no new software on my phone. I have tried every single thing to try and find out WHAT new software is causing the issue, but it remains a mystery. This has now stopped me from banking on the app and for a lot of people that would be a showstopper. Luckily I have an old phone and the app starts up on that still. The advice from FNB is to keep uninstalling apps on my phone until I find the one that is causing the problem. I have about 100 apps on my phone according to android. What kind of advice is that?? The only solution is to back up the phone and then reset it. How the hell can FNB expect that to be a solution with something as important as a banking app? What happens if the problem reappears after wiping my whole phone because I don't actually know what app or software is causing the problem? This is ridiculous. This comes off the back of my body corporate experiencing terrible service from FNB in transferring ownership and roles. The body corporate is considering transferring banks and I'm thinking of that as well. I cannot accept that an app just stops working and FNB's solution is to reset your phone. I've got better things to do.
