FNB and eBucks *****ing my money

FNB and eBucks offered an early bird special for 2020 Disney on Ice tickets, which I decided to take them up on. on 30/10 I booked via the eBucks portal which directed me to shared Ebucks/Computicket website. I made 3 attempts all of which failed with no reason given (my ABSA transaction was immediately reversed). I was sent from FNB (spoke with Simphiwe) to Computicket with a Bank authorisation code. Computicket then referred me to eBucks, as they should be calling with the code. I called eBucks and was told that there was a technical error, that I should try again tomorrow. Luckily the same row tickets were available on 31/10 when I was able to make a successful transaction using my FNB credit card. Of the 3 transactions tried over the 2 days, 2 transactions were billed to my credit card. Mpaleng from eBucks told me that the erroneous transaction will automatically reverse by COB Friday 01/11 which did not happen. Failed transaction total to be reversed - R679, successful transaction amount, for which I received tickets for - R742. Call reference Rb***

Monday 04/11 I spoke with Creswell @ eBucks who asked for the date and venue of the show, as this transaction will have to be manually reversed if the automatic reversal didnt take place, but Friday Mpaleng stated with conviction that it will automatically be reversed??

In the meantime, I asked my Private Banker to look into this so I was called by Mphondo from eBucks on 08/11, requesting the very same information that I called to give Creswell on 04/11. I told him to read the notes on the system and call me back with feedback, no call back happened.

No further feedback no reversal either so 11/11 I called eBucks again at 12h05, spoke to Phindile who confirmed that the reversal will be done by Tuesday 12/11. I did not accept this, requested to speak to someone senior she said she would escalate to a relationship manager. Someone called me 16h17 but I was driving home did not get her name, asked her to call me the next morning. She asked for a suitable time which I confirmed for 10h00, I am still waiting for her call!!!

So today I call eBucks again today 13/11 as the transaction still did not reverse, spoke to Noserwa. I asked for manager, I then was put onto Ismail Mohamed @ 12h35 who promised to look into the matter and call me back within an hour. He called me now at 16h01 but said that he has asked a relationship manager to call me, he even explained how long this query is coming on and that I wanted to speak to someone senior, he couldnt answer for why she (no name) hasnt called me yet. Clearly eBucks and FNB dont give a damn about their clients, that's why!!! Anyways it turns out that Ismail is on the help desk and is trying his level best to get somewhere with this query (I dont know exactly what he did on the query from 12h35 until now?), I did advise him that I am logging this on Hello Peter as my refund was promised nearly 2 weeks ago, and has not taken place as yet. Then he wanted to clarify the amount for refund. It turns out that eBucks plans of refunding me for the successful transaction!!! Do I then lose the tickets I bought which were issued by Computicket to me????

What kind of circus is FNB and eBucks running????????????? I have waited long enough for my money, refund me NOW!!!!!!!

I also expect to be refunded for the declined auth fee that was charged to my credit card.

Patricia a Relationship Manager called me now to confirm the amount to be processed, that the refund will take 24hours. I wanted this done immediately as I waited long enough. She said she will enquire if it can be done and will call me back today still, let's see...

I just realised that my eBucks of the failed transaction also was not reversed, even though Mpaleng told me that it would be reversed automatically within 24 hours. This is the reason why there is a difference in amounts paid, ticket price was R371 x 2

Patricia Shishi the relationship manager called after 12pm to say that the ticket fee plus eBucks fee has been reversed, that I should check my accounts. Its is now 4 hours since we spoke, and both fees still not reversed. I genuinely don't kno what game FNB and ebucks are playing!

She then said that she has escalated the reversal of the declined auth fee, and the interest aspect seeing as though these fees were charged to my account for 14days at their fault, of which I am to pay interest on. Let's see if anything even happens with this, and how long it takes.

Long story short, yet another promise made that the refund took place but no sign of any money

So I check my account today, low and behold FNB refunded the amount for the tickets which were issued, the one Patricia Sishi repeatedly confirmed would not be refunded!!! So does this mean that I now no longer have tickets, because no tickets were issued for the failed transaction (that was supposed to be reimbursed)??

Note: no eBucks were refunded despite Patricia confirming that it was refunded yesterday.

It has been 7 working days since FNB sent a reference number for this Hello Peter complaint, but I have not received any communication from anyone in the complaints team, only my Private Banker who responded to me and undertook to get resolution. I'm in genuine disbelief that a bank as big as FNB has no regard for their customers, and has absolutely no desire to rectify THEIR mistake!!!
