FNB and couriers don't deliver banking cards in a secure manner

As my banking cards were due to expire when I went overseas, I asked FNB if I could get new banking cards early and they agreed. They preferred that I take delivery from the courier so I agreed. The courier contacted me and asked if Friday 28 December was ok for delivery and I agreed. When the cards were not arriving, the courier asked if they could deliver the cards the next week. I refused, as I would then be overseas. On the Saturday I went into the bank and asked them to cancel my cards as I would not be getting them and the courier would have them for two months. They agreed. When I was overseas, another courier called and asked to deliver my cards ( I think now the new ones due to my cards expiring at the right time). I told them I was overseas and they said they would contact me again. I now don't have any new cards, and on a call with the bank, I was told that I MUST FOLLOW UP WITH THE COURIER! How must I know who the courier is when they call you in the middle of the night in a foreign country? When you told the bank that you wouldnt be home to receive them? And now I must run around and sort this out? I think changing banks would be better if this is the care they take with your cards, and providing a service for the customer to presumable be able to pay for things with their cards!!! Totally unacceptable all around.
