FNB allows bullying on my Account

My contract with Telkom ended exactly a year ago. But, every month (for 12 months now) I have to go to the FNB branch to reverse the debit order. FNB says there is nothing they can do. I’ve been banking with them for more than 20yrs and they are literally saying they have their hands tied they can’t prevent Telkom’s debit order.

I even struggle to make payment arrangements for my credit card which is a FNB card. They allow others to take money but they can’t make an arrangement for their own. Really disappointing.

Good day.

I feel highly patronized by your response. This is really a textbook response. As for good faith, I am not expecting favour. I am merely questioning and seeking a better response regarding how you can enter into a (sort of agreement) with an external party to have access on your clients account even when the agreement has reached its use. How you purely respond by saying that it is between me and Telkom. I have approached Telkom on several occasions to no avail. Basically Telkom has given me the middle finger. I seek protection from my bank to prevent external parties from accessing my account. Failure to do so leaves an interpretation that suggests that anybody with the right information can debit my account without my permission.

I feel that there is a violation of principle and relationship. Please advise me that the only way to stop Telkom after a year of u warranted debit order is to close my 26yrs plus account with you. The terms and conditions you relayed say nothing about my expired contract. Basically FNB has no open/ended debit order clause/arrangement with third party companies that are not a lifetime service providers.
