FNB Allowed “Insufficient Funds” Transactions, Charged Endless Fees, and Nobody Can Explain Why

Here’s a version that hits hard, sounds serious, and still stays credible enough that they can’t just dismiss it as rage-posting smoke. 🔥

I am beyond frustrated with FNB and the shocking way they are handling my account. For months now, my account has been sinking further and further into negative balances, almost reaching R1000, and nobody at the bank can give me a proper explanation.

What makes this even more disturbing is that my statements clearly show transactions being “paid on my behalf” despite there supposedly being insufficient funds in my account. How is that even possible? If I swipe my card with no money available, the transaction should decline immediately. That is how banking works. Yet somehow FNB continues allowing certain transactions to go through, then later pushes my account deeper into overdraft territory without my consent or understanding.

I have gone into the branch personally asking for explanations, and nobody seems capable of explaining where these charges come from, why they are approved, or why the bank continues processing them when there are allegedly no funds available. The responses are vague, inconsistent, and completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, third-party debit attempts continue hammering my account repeatedly when there is no money available. FNB charges me failed transaction fees over and over again, sometimes dozens of times in a single day from the same institution. Instead of flagging suspicious activity or protecting their customer, they simply continue collecting fees while my account spirals further negative.

How does a bank see repeated rapid-fire deductions from the same source and not flag it as suspicious behavior? Where are the ***** protections? Where is the customer care? It honestly feels like customers are left completely exposed while the bank profits from penalty charges and unexplained processing practices.

I have kept evidence, statements, timestamps, and transaction records, and at this point I am seriously considering escalating this matter legally because I refuse to accept that this level of financial mismanagement and lack of transparency is normal banking practice.

FNB markets itself as a premium, technologically advanced bank, yet when customers need accountability, nobody can explain anything clearly. I expected security, transparency, and professionalism. What I have experienced instead is stress, confusion, financial damage, and complete disappointment.

This situation needs urgent investigation and proper answers.
