FNB All round disappointing service.

My father 84 arrived at FNB bank with his walker and was given a number and told to queue. When inquiring about help for pensioners the staffs informed him he is NUMBER and the computer decides they did apologise but were unable to do anything. He had just received he tax certificates for 2015-16 from ABSA mid-April.

Hoping FNB would be able to assist him as ABSA did. The new tax year, he discovers FNB issued 2014-15. No problem Dad phones the local branch Menlyn Square and get through to the national call centre in Randburg. Who informs him he cannot get FNB tax certificates before Mid-to-end May once again the computer decides, he cannot speak to the branch via telephone, new FNB policies. Dad asked if FNB can email his son, me who has power of attorney, reply was NO. Asked why the FNB branch staff did not tell him this. Call centre did not know what to say. We go back to the branch to get a NUMBER, ticket machine broken wait 5-6 mints then get a ticket, ticket says estimate waiting time 6 mints we waited for 15 mints.

As a result of no service for pensioners and lack of communication all round he has closed all his accounts with FNB. My Dad cannot queue anymore, he says he is a person not a number.
