FNB adds debit orders to your account without your permission.

<p>I received an sms for my months payments... An amount with a description opt debt protection. Turns out this is a division of FNB who felt they were allowed to add a service to my account without my permission. The premiere call center agent I spoke to told me "They sent you notification and if you weren't interested you needed to contact FNB to tell them you didnt want the service." I was then told by her that the department that will deal with it is closed so I must phone them back. Surely it is not legal if not ********* for a bank to do this? I'd love to know what the banking ombudsman says about this type of practice.</p>
