FNB a very backward discriminating bank. International citizens stay away

If you are an International Citizen living in South Africa, FNB is the worse bank to trust. FNB is the only bank I banked with since 2008 yet I benefited of nothing from FNB, they rejected every single request for loan, except a credit card. I needed these loans to grow as a professional and overtime a family man. I am a medical Professional, I got a study loan for my specialization in public health from Standard, this allowed me to increase my income. If it was depending on FNB I was never going to do my specialization. Yet FNB was now happy to receive my salary of a specialist in their account. When I app**** for home loan, FNB said I was a foreigner, they offered me 50% while ABSA a bank I never banked with offered me 75% , I bought my house thanks to ABSA. In 2022 I got an offer to teach and do my PhD in Canada with a prestigious university, I moved my family to Canada, FNB put me through so much stress while overseas, requiring me to transfer my income to the fnb account and transact while I was overseas or else every two months they put a closure notice on my account, this while I was still having an investment account and a paid off credit card with them. The inconvenience was so bad that this month my SARS tax return payment bounced after I saw it coming in a spent it paying offf my credit card and investing on my 32 days account. They said my account was marked for closure because I didn't transact for a month while my wife using Standard bank, still ok and she does not even transact as much as I do with her SA account. FNB is for local people in SA.

So if you are an international citizen, look for a bank that is of international standard like , Standard bank, ABSA ( Barclay) avoid FNB, it is so local and backward. It is full of people who probably don't even have a passport and never even visited their own Southern African neighboring countries, I bet they never even visited the SA provinces that, their policies and decisions are so discriminating for what they don't understand.
