I've been a customer of FNB for 16 years. I've paid tens of thousands in bank charges. I'm a pensioner and I buy and sell cars and consumables with my son. He gives me a small gratuity. I got a phonecall from some Gestapo type employee asking me about my deposits. Every deposit can be accounted for. My daughter owns a house with a few rental spaces and allows me to collect the small rentals and maintain the place. She allows me to live there and gives me a gratuity. FNB then sends me a threatening demand that I need to update my FICA details. I sent them paperwork but they weren't satisfied. I needed bank statements and a proof of address. I have prostate cancer and am continually weak. They froze my account and I have medical aid and gap cover payments to make let alone the funds in my account are to buy food. I haven't eaten for two days. I'm working with my daughter to get a COJ statement. Why can't they pull my bank statements. When you phone them you get through to imbiciles who say that it's not protocol . They're corporate ******* wit no compassion for loyal customers.
