FNB

I was using FNB bank for the longest of time, in 2019 the fnb team came to my workplace promoting the fnb connect. I took a sim card thinking of the convenience of my banking, I ported my number from MTN to fnb connect the process was seamless in no time I was up and running under fnb connect. In 2024 November i stopped using fnb the bank because it had become too expensive for me and i tried to port back to MTN guess what my port SMS's are not going through to mtn it seems they have been blocked. I'm stuck with a sim card that i cannot load airtime, load data or anything else because in order for you to do that you have to have money in a fnb account which i do not have anymore. Yesterday i went to my new bank to sort out my banking app guess what again my sms's are not even coming through. I am now sitting with a sim card that I do not want but because I need my number I'm stuck with it. I called fnb connect the lady who took my call put the phone down on my ear when I told her what I my problem is, I went to the branch and they told me if its connect they cant help but offered me a phone to call fnb connect. Eventually i got somebody who is willing to help but i need to wait 48hrs for another phone call from somebody at fnb connect. In that 48 hours my life come to a stand still.

I do not want to change my number my important contacts know this number i cannot change on account of fnb connect barring me from porting my number.
