Flabbergasted and speechless
My daughter has access to my cheque account (under my own name and ID number), which is in arrears because I have been struggling for months, to no avail, to agree to a payment arrangement with FNB.
My daughter has a revolving credit account. When a person pays back 15% of their revolving credit, that 15% becomes available to them again. My daughter had 15%+ available in the revolving credit account (it's been available for more than a month), but on Sunday when she wanted to transfer the available 15% into her cheque account for use, is was suddenly no longer available. She contacted FNB on Secure Chat and talked to Jules. She was informed that HER money was no longer available to HER since MY account is in arrears!!!
Eventually, after much communication and explanation to FNB, an amount was again made available to her – however, this was not the full 15% that should have been (and previously had been) available to her. I can only assume that the amount that she was able to withdraw was reduced because of the arrears on my bank account, just because she has access to my account.
Where does one start? How does FNB justify this? It it ******* and ******** and I will definitely not leave it here.
