First National Bank, Terible service

BAD BAD BAD customer service from FNB! They froze my account without any notice because according to them I didn't update my Fica KYC documents this year. We live on a farm on the Botswana Border and a long way from town, I have exhausted all my airtime holding on the line for someone to help me, they just keep telling me hold on we are transferring you. My account is frozen and I can not get any money withdrawn to go to town to visit the bank. I cannot call them anymore because my airtime has run out trying to get through to somebody that can help me for the last week now, sometimes holding on the line for more than an hour. I have send them email and received no answer. According to their own policy they are suppose to notify a customer 3 times before they can freeze the account. I have not been notified once. This banks call centre is useless when it comes to customer service, I will strongly advice anybody to do business with a bank that is impossible to reach and that just freezes somebody's account without notice and leave their clients hopeless. When I finally managed to speak to a person that can help me he was very arrogant and said I should email it to them and then phone them again to see if they received it, then once they are happy they will activate my account after 3 days. I told him but it is impossible to get through and have spend R500 on airtime to get through to them, is their another way to contact them, he only said YOU have to phone US! It is almost end of the month, what about my debit orders that is supposed to go through, my medical aid? I am pregnant and can not afford to have my medical aid suspended! My Fiancé banks with Standbank and ABSA and he gets reminded to update is Fica documents everytime he enters the banking site, there is even an option to upload the documents on their site. Why cant FNB do the same ? Why do we pay all those bank charges but yet FNB call centres are unreachable and the customers are paying the price for their incompetence! Why does a customer have to spend R500 in airtime to speak to somebody for less than a minute? its unacceptable!
