First National Bank should not be your FIRST choice

I booked 10 tickets on the 17th of May 2022. The amount on the payment screen was R14 554.26 and as soon as the transaction went through the deducted amount from my account was R16 922.40. I immediately contacted Customer Care to only get a response 2 days later, saying that because I used a certain card it does not qualify for the discount ... which was never displayed anywhere on the site. I was suppose to get the tickets within 2 hours of booking but never received it until 30 May 2022! On the same day I booked I immediately contacted FNB to report the misconduct and misleading situation. They then advised me to stop the card and fill in the necessary forms to try and stop the transaction to go through but that didn't help at all.

I then booked tickets directly with Safair and opened a case of ***** with FNB. I then contacted Safair a few days later to see if a booking from Trip Monster was ever made, using the reference number I received on 30 May 2022 from Trip Monster ( after I cancelled it the same day I made the booking ) It turns out they did receive the booking but it was cancelled on the 21st of May 2022 and a refund was approved on 23 May 2022. (But I got my tickets from Trip Monster on 30 May 2022.... how does this make sense??)

Up to date all email correspondence is a never-ending loop between me asking for answers and a refund and them and FNB just answering me with automated type of replies never addressing my questions or giving proper answers or even just directing me in the right direction.

Safair said that the company the tickets were booked by was Travel Fusion, FNB says the card transaction reference came from a Company named Otravo. FNB keeps insisting I must sort it out with the merchant but I do not get any feedback or confirmation from them. So I am stuck and extremely frustrated!!

Trip Monster, Otravo, Travel Fusion or what or whoever the Company is, is ********** and I would not recommend doing business with them at all!

FNB keeps on sending me endless useless replies despite the fact that I send all the correspondence with the merchant with all their useless replies (which I can guarantee they don't even read!). I sent them the booking reference that was cancelled with Safair and still they say I need to first try and resolve it with the Merchant ... so AGAIN I ask how do you suggest I do it when they ignore my emails regarding the cancellation and refund??
