First National Bank is no longer the bank is used to be - so disappointing wow.
FUNFACT : FNB will not allow you to withdraw your account confirmation letter if your account is in overdrawn.
Here's some context - i was unemployed for about two months and my Aspire Banking account accumulated charges which caused it to go overdrawn. Now that i found work, my employer requests I submit my account confirmation letter so I went online to retrieve it only for the error message to prompt me to deposit some funds first (since when??). I then called into their customer service centre and this is what caused me to write a review on HelloPeter: The first consultant i spoke with, Mamotlhadi, informed me that the account is inactive and that even if i make a deposit i still won't be able to get the account confirmation letter. i then asked her to do everythig in her power to remove the holds (what the holds were even she couldn't explain) and for that she needs to transfer the call to another department - she transfered me to a completetly irrelevant department which the consultant that side sounded aggresive and unwilling to help. Recalled again into customer service and the third lady i spoke to, Mingo - she said her name was, told me there only two ways i could get my account confirmation letter was through digital channels (the app & online banking) which were tried obviously and she blatantly that there is nothing she and that FNB as a could do. So I'm not even going to waste my time to go into or call them for assistance because from the looks of it, their consultants aren't even eager to think of a mere solution.
I've been banking with them for over 7 years and now they've lost another customer. Strategies they've put in place to convene peoples' lives are fantasies for marketing because they just dont work.
