First National Bank-False Advertising of services offered

First National Bank advertises the service of receiving moneygram's with the activation of any First National Bank account. This is however not the case at all. After moving from Pietermaritzburg to the South Coast I was searching for moneygram pick up points. This is when I discovered that FNB offer the moneygram service. I did not realise it was going to be such a battle from the opening of the account to attempting to receive the weekly moneygram's sent from the UK. Every day I had to travel from my house 40km to the Shelly beach branch to be sit and wait for hours with no result. Moneygram blames FNB and FNB blames moneygram and still no clarity. My personal opinion is the problem lies with First National Bank as I walk across to Standard Bank and receive the moneygram every time with no hassles. I have contacted both Moneygram and First National Bank and the assistance has just been an automated response , further annoying me. DONT ADVETISE A SERVICE IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT OPOERATES.

A full month and a half has passed and still no clarity on the situation with receiving moneygram's. I have tried going to Port Edward branch and once again no one knows how to receive a moneygram. Surely if you advertise a service then a customer could access this service. Instead staff and customers have no clue how to receive these funds. Beyond annoyed and frustrated.

Would like to thank the staff and the manager at Shelly Centre FNB, They went above and beyond to assist with my moneygram issues. Thank you that I can now receive this moneygram with minimal stress. Many thanks.
