First National Bank and Standard Bank mess-up

So, wanting to apply for an overdraft on my business banking account, I phone FNB Business Banking, end of May 2018. Here I was told that some issue still exists regarding a credit card with Standard Bank, which was settled 4 years ago. I phone Standard Bank and go through the process to sort this out, credit card was settled 4 years ago, but they never cleared the credit bureau tag. They do so, and let me know all is apparently sorted out. I month after first phoning FNB to apply, I phone again, but now Im told that I cannot apply again as I was rejected last time and will have to wait six months before I can apply again! So, declined by FNB due to a Standard Bank error, and now I can apply again, due to a Standard Bank error. The mistake made was not mine, but another bank's. This is a prime example of how banks do whatever they can to ***** their own clients. Both FNB and Standard Bank should seriously get their client service sorted out!
