Good day, I opened an estate account on the 28 June 2024, as I was selling my house and expecting money. The house is sold and the money came in, now when I transfer from an estate account to my current account it's giving me an error then I phoned FNB, they say I have to wait 30 days for verification of executors letter and I went inside the bank in festival mall, Kempton park,they say it's the estate department that deals with this,they can't help me. I have to move out of the house on the 30th August and I don't have money and I have children. My query is why wait until there's money in the account, why didn't they do verification when I opened the account, now I'm gonna be homeless with my kids cause we have nowhere to go because I don't have money. And they didn't even tell me when I opened the account that they will do this when the money comes in. I never had this problem before with Nedbank when I had an estate account with them, I'm so disappointed with FNB.
I don't understand the delay FNB is telling me about,I'm not happy with their response,because the attorneys who were doing registration already sent the same documents to the master's court and was approved, so why are you repeating the same process? The documents you are verifying were verified and approved so why the repetation, my house wouldn't have been registered if something was wrong with the documents. I have to move out of the house on the 30th August 2024, so we must sleep on the streets because FNB decided to wait for the money to be deposited in the account and start doing their job, for the documents they kept for two months and doing nothing with them!! So please FNB staff must tell me where are we supposed to go with my children while they decide to keep my money. Please release my money FNB, I need it as in yesterday, tomorrow I have to pay deposit and rent where I'm supposed to move next week so what must I do.
