Finders Keepers on a Customer's Money

I have an account with FNB and the account is dormant. I am settling its debt through an arrangement. A few days ago someone mistakenly transferred R5000 into that account. He followed up with FNB to request a reversal but was told by Cassandra Windvogel that the account was locked and FNB would not reverse the money instead he should contact me and recorver the money. I found this shocking. This money is neither mine nor FNBs. Why does FNB now play finders keepers with someone's money? How do they expect me to pay for their client's mistake? Why is their client being punished for a mistake he innocently made? FNB need to do the decent thing and return his money. It is not a fault of his that this account is in arrears neither is it my problem that someone made a mistake.
