Financial Advisor Experience: Get paid for nothing

I was introduced to an FNB financial advisor who was a "really good one" back around 2015. Over the past several years, outside of the first engagement, we only spoke once about my portfolio.

This advisor has been getting paid for nothing ever since from my portfolio and when asked about who should engage who this person advised it happens both ways.

What does not make sense for me is why should I chase my advisor if I am paying service and advice fees?

I raised this via FNB's complaints page but I'm sure minimal attention is paid to it.
