FICA VISIT FNB LASTING 45 MINUTES ALL IN VAIN

Wanna bank with FNB or use Paypal? Forget it. I spent 45 minutes queuing at Balfour Park branch 10 days ago, took off work as well which cost me an hour and a half, for NOTHING!!!!!

The promosed FICA apparently was never submitted. Those valuable 1 and a half hours were for nothing but 'fun' as my details were not emailed. So the Paypal consultant who ansered the call about 17 minutes later told me.

I was thinking of brining my banking over to FNB, thank you guys. In a million years you would be last on the list.

You couldnt give a damn!!!!

Message to FNB reading this: You have no right to oversee an overseas banks payment gateway and I am going to email them and tell them how your incompetency has ambushed their business.

I will fwd you the email to them. They need to understand. If it happened with me, it has happened with others .

Sent to Paypal on their website:

Hi. I live in South Africa and need to tell you my experience with your agents there, First National Bank. I have agonised over trying to open this account, I dont have an American account so I had to go to FNB. I have concluded they are trying to sabotage people who bank elsewhere from using your account....it took me 45 minutes in a line to get to the front, I needed to verify my details for FICA. I brought EVERYTHING with me, I begged the man behind the counter to even take my charity founding documents. He spent about 20 minutes with me, can you believe that this somehow didnt reach the relevant department and as such they are refusing me from linking to you. I have no idea what to do now. Laughably the woman on the phone who told me there was nothing on record for me regarding the visit 10 DAYS AGO, suggested that I go get the branch to phone her 9hang on for 17 minutes) and she will tell them there is nothing on record for me. Please advise me, how on earth can I link my charity account with Paypal?

Do you see the dates of my initial posting, well guess what , after resubmitting my FICA documents on another 2 occassions (3 all in all) FNB still denies getting them. I am at supervisor level, Clarissa Olckers who is in the FICA division I assume was contacted again 3 days ago, she refuses to answer emails from me or tell another supervisor that has been really good anything!

Who do you think you are FNB deciding who can and cant be Paypal users? Its not your call, you oversee this on behalf of an overseas company. I need to find the email address of the CEO of Paypal, I am now beyond furious at you all.

ABSOLUTE INCOMPETANCE.

I found another site to email complaints to paypal USA. So here goes...its not that important that I get Paypal, I will survive without it. I was at a CSI conference last week where you fnb's attitude towards obstructing clients came up. Someone stood up and gave me an other option.Herewith the email, this time I will follow up if no one answers. Last time I think they didnt get the email of complaint:

I live in South Africa, you have First National Bank managing Paypal here. I dont bank with another bank and I think I am being discriminated against because of this. They are making such a mess of Paypal, I am about to abandon my efforts. About 3 weeks ago I handed in documents to FICA (register my address and identification - guard against international terrorism). It took me over an hour to do this, unbelievably FNB claims it never got my documents.I was really upset and initiated a lot of bad coverage over this, they promised they would investigate, well that was not to be.I have now submitted the same documents on another 2 occassions, I am dealing with supervisors in the respective divisions (Clarissa Olckers in FICA refuses to answer emails) and another week has gone by, a whole series of calls and emails to FNB....and no one is interested in clearing this so that I can link my account to paypal (it is a charity I have founded that needs the Paypal account, I have an online shop). To date I have to assume the documents are 'lost' again, despite me calling and checking that the emails got to the necessary destination and to the necessary person. Paypal goodbye, I am far too busy, and I really feel that I am far too important to be treated like this by FNB. Remember if they are treating me like this they are treating a stack of other people. I do have another way of bringing in funds from abroad, I have to pay a registration fee and its not as efficient as you are, but I have no choice. Good luck with FNB, they treat you as though they are paying you, as though you are lucky enough to have them manage your account. They will see you broke and with no new customers here in SA. Bizarre but true..
